Our Staff

Since 1990, Bobby Dorafshar has been an animal trainer/behaviorist and owner/operator of K9s Only. He has successfully trained thousands of dogs and is considered a master in his field. In addition to his exceptional skills as a trainer, it is Bobby's unique talent to truly understand our canine friends that sets him apart from others in his profession.

His love for animals shows not only through his work as a trainer, but his dedication to homeless pets as well. In 1997, he founded New Leash On Life Animal Rescue, a nonprofit animal rescue organization dedicated to the welfare of pets and the community. Bobby is recommended by LAAS as a dog trainer and behaviorist, specializing in "difficult" dogs.

Bobby owns four dogs - Aikani (Doberman), Jake (Fox Terrier), Lucy (Jack Russell Terrier) and Cody (Llasa Apso mix). He and his wife, Kelly, have two sons, Ashton (pictured) and Kaden.

Sharon Vincuilla came to K9s Only in 2005 with a true passion for our four legged friends. Sharon has worked around animals literally her entire life. She grew up with Belgian Shepherds, training several of them herself. Since then, she has raised and trained show dogs and raised a seeing eye dog. She and her current dog, Gabi, are certified pet therapists. These experiences have given Sharon exceptional skills in socialization and acclimating even the most insecure dogs to new environments. She works with dogs of all breeds and temperaments and is also certified in Pet First-Aid and CPR. Sharon manages our training staff, oversees all in-kennel training and is also available for private lessons.

Sharon and her boyfriend, Tom, are owned by a Labrador named Gabi. They are also fostering a German Shepherd named Ziko who needs special care due to a genetic condition.

Sung joined the K9s Only staff after 4 years of being in private practice. Her previous background in illustrator and textile design required precision, which shows in her attention to detail with each furry client. She truly takes the time to make sure every dog has the healthiest coat and skin possible, uses all organic products and is a master at all cuts. Her passion for animals definitely shows in her work.

Sung is married and has one son, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 birds.

Yvonne has always had a crazy passion for animals and spends most of her time out trail riding and hiking with her dogs. She has recently joined the k9s only team as there massage & water therapist and is a certified in both canine and equine massage. Yvonne has worked for many years in human massage and personal training and started working with animals 8 years ago after owning a dog that had to have surgery on all four legs at a very young age, after searching for a place to start a rehabilitation program and having no luck finding a place decided to learn how to work with animals herself and completed her massage training at Equinologys intense foundation course she then went on to there advanced level of training she is also certified by pet massage as an canine massage therapist. she continues to take classes and has lots hands on experience in rehabilitation therapy and is dedicated to helping owners with there pets.

Yvonne shares her life with her husband Bryan two dogs morgan and Kahlua and two horses all which enjoy regular bodywork.

Lea has practiced various energetic "hands-on-healing" techniques since the 1970's. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher for over 10 years with an active Reiki practice. She is a certified Hypnotherapist and she also holds the special talent of Animal Communication. Lea utilizes all of her skills and provides a unique combination of touch therapies to help animals and their people.

Lea can help address emotional problems, behavioral problems, and health problems. Lea shares her home with English Springer Spaniels. She is a Foster home for English Springer Rescue America, Inc. (www.springerrescue.org) Lea's home as a rescued foster two years ago, and she decided to stay. Now Ginger helps to socialize other Springers and teaches them to play while they are found their forever homes. Ginger is a beautiful Liver and White bench bred Springer that is now 6 years old. She is Lea's constant companion!

Directions

We are located approximately 1/2 mile north of the 101 freeway. Take the Reseda Blvd. exit and travel north (make a right if you are coming from Los Angeles). Travel approximately 1/2 mile to Topham Street (just past Oxnard St. and the Metro Orange Bus Line), turn left.

Our building is on the right hand side of the street. You may park on the street; in the back, behind K9s Only; or across the street in the Orange Line bus parking lot.
